The Life And Matter Blog seeks to help dispel and clarify any perceived contradictions between what we read regarding God's "Word" in the Bible, as opposed to what we learn of God's "Handiwork" as observed in Nature.
By subscribing to this feed and participating in the discussions you will be part of a community seeking to make our Christian faith more relevant in today's world.
I am convinced that through enhanced knowledge of the natural world, as well as the growing understanding regarding the mental, spiritual, and social functions of the human brain, can only lead to a more profound perception of GOD - our Creator.

Jesus said: "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life" John 14:6
What is Truth?
Wikipedia defines the absolute nature of Truth as follows: "Truth is usually held to be the opposite of falsehood."
Unfortunately, due to human nature this absolute meaning has become adulterated. Small untruths become explained away as little "white lies" which become ever more tolerated as we grow up. They are convenient, save embarrassment - and everyone does it! But, for most of us there is, hopefully, still a twinge of guilty conscience.
Understandably, many people find this uncomfortable, so some philosophers have attempted to dilute the absolute meaning.
We now live in an age where we are overwhelmed by previously undreamed of and virtually unlimited information overload. Unfortunately, not only in Physics, but in all aspects of life, everything has become "relative". No more absolutes!
Even in formulating law. In the past certain values and norms were considered as "God given". But in today's world where a large number of people in the justice professions no longer believe in God, they reject these absolutes and seek other attachments for legal values.
Unfortunately, if one does not believe in an "after life' where one can be held accountable for you deeds in this life, then accountability becomes irrelevant.
In fact Truth itself is no longer relevant!
Here is a magnificent speech by Canadian psychology expert Jordan Peterson that sheds light on the importance of Truth!
What Is Pentecost?By Richard Wagner, Kurt WarnerPentecost is a Christian holy day that celebrates the coming of the Holy Spirit 40 days after Easter. Some Christian denominations consider it the birthday of the Christian church and celebrate it as such.Originally, Pentecost was a Jewish holiday held 50 days after Passover. One of three major feasts during the Jewish year, it celebrated Thanksgiving for harvested crops. However, Pentecost for Christians means something far different. Before Jesus was crucified, he told his disciples that the Holy Spirit would come after him:And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counsellor to be with you forever — the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. John 14:16–18And 40 days after Jesus was resurrected (10 days after he ascended into heaven), that promise was fulfilled when Peter and the early Church were in Jerusalem for Pentecost:When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. Acts 2:1–4Although many North American Christians hardly notice Pentecost today, traditional European churches consider it a major feast day. Pentecost, also called Whitsuntide in parts of Europe, is just behind Easter in overall importance. For example, in Germany today, on only three occasions does the observance of a national holiday span two days: Christmas (December 25 and 26), Easter (Sunday and Monday), and Pentecost (Sunday and Monday).About the Book AuthorRichard Wagner is publisher of Digitalwalk.net, a Web-based Christian discipleship magazine. He has more than a decades broad experience in church leadership and teaching roles.
Dark-Matter describes forms of matter that exert intense gravitational forces on visible matter but cannot themselves be observed as they do not reflect light.
Why-Celebrate-Christmas? With the proliferation of holidays celebrated world wide, both religious and secular, why does Christmas stand out above all the rest?
Creator-Or-Chance? What brought our Universe and Life into existence? Are we meant to be, or are we here by accident?
Researching the-origin-of-life raises the questions of: What actually constitutes life How and why did it originate, and what is its destiny?
